TEX WILLIAMS
SHASTA 109
YANKEE, GO HOME                                                           ****
Williams teams up with Bonnie Sloan on this version of the tune.
Tex Williams offers a meaningful recitation with the thrush, then the pair come
thru in a nice harmony duet.
I’LL HOLD YOU IN MY HEART                                          **
The veteran chanter chants the well-known country tune, of which
Eddy Arnold is a co-cleffer. The deep bass has tones which come thru nicely,
assisted by chorus, worth spins.
BONNIE SLOAN
SHASTA 114
SWEET THING                                                                                                                              **
Bonnie Sloan writes a tearful letter to her loved one as she
asks if he still loves her as she loves him. Good performance.
CRY OF A BROKEN HEART                                                                                                         **
On this side the thrush tells the tender story of a lass with a
broken heart calling to her ex-love. A pretty tune handled nicely.

SHASTA 130
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?                                                                                            ***
The sad plight of a married couple who can’t get along. They’re
looking for the answer to their personal tragedy. The pair give it a lot of
meaning, and it’s worth activity in traditional sectors.
BONNIE SLOAN
BLUE RIBBONS                                                                                                                            **
Miss Sloan handles this one alone, and she gives the broken
heart sound, as she reminisces about the stack of old love letters. Also for
traditional areas.
