The Main Exchange that performed on the 2 records I produced with Dean Charles were a collection of local (Dallas-Fort Worth) old time western swing players. Bass-Myles Ford, Piano-Johnny Case, Steel guitar-Gene Niven, Rhythm guitar-Billy Luttrel, Drums-Chris York, Lead guitar-Frank Kinman, Fiddles-Tommy Camfield, Buddy Wallace, Vocals-Dean Charles, Engineer-David Hearne. The initial recording was done in 1979 at my 8 track analog studio, Cowtown Studios, in Fort Worth. We made the final cuts in Dallas at Sumet-Bernet Studios, a 24 track studio with Bob Sullivan at the console. As of 2025, only me, John Case and Chris York are living. I still have a few of the records left and all of the raw recorded tracks. It was a pleasure and honor to work with those guys.
